Eclipse sniffed. He could smell she-cats - and not too long ago. This was going to be his place, and he was going to stay here. No one would be able to move him from here; besides it was somewhere where the she-cats seemed to come often enough. He knew there were more places with more she-cats but he thought this would do for now.
Eclipse went up to the burnt sycamore. "Urgh. This isn't that attractive. I'll make it look a bit better..." He unsheathed his long claws and scored the side of the tree, leaving huge claw marks. "Aah. Better," he said, smiling. "Now to wait for some she-cats to come along..."
As Eclipse looked round at the frost covered ground, he felt something wet hit his back. "Oh no, rain," he moaned. "At least it's light." He realised that he couldn't smell any prey; there was nothing apart from cat scent. His stomach rumbled. He hadn't realised how hungry he was. But, he sat there, under the burnt sycamore, waiting for a she-cat to come visit him.
