[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=18377E] Count: 166 Kitty: Dusky the impatient Involved: None Notes: ..liionfur..
As Dusky took cover under a huge tree in the middle of a lot of trees, the rain didn't stop pouring. Dusky was already soaking wet, and the rain was still falling on Dusky. Dusky shivered with the cold, noticing this tree wasn't covering enough.
Dusky walked out from under the tree, feet crunching through the snow. Apparently branches didn't make much good cover.
Dusky fled to a pine tree, that was still lush with all of its needles, and hid under it. She wanted to find a place to go, but it didn't seem likely to happen soon if random cats kept pulling her over, and if the storm didn't give up.
The tortoise shell she-cat winced as she felt something hit her pelt. Hail. Rain and hail. Not a very good combination for a cat. She twitched her fur, sending some little bits of water flying off of her pelt. Dusky groaned, hoping the storm would end soon.

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=C4842D] Cat: Lionfur Wordcount: 578 Notes: <: Friendly cat is also trapped. He sayz hi.
Your not going anywhere Just wait around and see Maybe I'm much more You never know what lies ahead The clans were suffering. His paws dragged against the mud that pulled at his paws with each step. He was doing boarder patrol- alone. If it was even that. He didn't know... Honestly, he felt very out of place in the silence. No one was around, and as a bird screeched above he flinched. No, that wasn't a hawk. It couldn't have been. He kept walking, slowly, his chocolate paws ironically lighter from the mud. He wanted to hunt, but he could hear the thunder in the distance now. From the twolegplace, he decided, his ears flicking back. If he got back, he'd be running into the storm. He would stay out here, he figured, stay here and do his job. There would be no prey out with a storm coming, they were nestled in their den.
He stopped in his paws. Who was this? He did not see the cat, but the scent was curious. Not a clan cat, certainly. She-cat, maybe? His yellow eyes shut for a moment as he breathed as silently as he could manage, trying to pinpoint her, and that's when the rain crashed down around him. He was soaking in seconds as he scrambled to find shelter. The she-cat! He was losing her scent in the rain! Starclan, he hissed to himself silently. There was an intruder on his clan territory- and if she stayed she would surely eat their prey! He had to get her to leave... But he had to find her first! Desperate, he chased blindly for the scent, his tail quivering and his pelt darkened by the rain. His skin was soaked past his fur by the time he made it to the Owl Tree, His ears pricked, as the pitter-patter of rain turned into crashing. He looked up and his muzzle got pelted by falling ice. He hissed, jerking away and lowering his head, his whole pelt being stricken by the dangerous storm.
Starclan! What were they thinking! Had he done something wrong? Has his clan? Why were they being punished?! He raced, her scent filling his senses. His head turned to see the she-cat under a pine tree, a pretty black and brown she-cat. Soaking wet just like him. He padded swiftly under the tree without warning, not saying a word- but lifting his head once he was under the shelter. The hail and rain still hit at them, but it was a lot more bearable. His amber gaze narrowed, as he sat down near her, hesitant.
What would... What could one say to a she-cat? It was freezing and he was soaking wet and so was she. He lifted a paw, staring at her curiously. "You know your on Thunderclan territory?" He asked, trying to sound casual. He looked down at his paw, soaking wet with mud, and set it back down. His fluffy coat was cling to his skin, chilling him to his bone. He hated Leafbare. Snowleaf would have his tail for being out in the bad weather- he felt bad. If he got sick... "Name's Lionfur. Who are you?" He decided he wouldn't tell her off for being on his territory. After all, there was nothing either of them could do right now. They were both stuck, probably a long way from home...

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=18377E] Count: 361 Kitty: Dusky the (still a little) angry Involved: Lionfur Notes: Still a little mad from Darkcry.
"Dusky." The she-cat growled, staying down and flicking her tail. "I know I'm on ThunderClan territory. Dark whatever the hell the last part of his name is already told me that." Dusky meowed, a little hostile, and with an annoyed quick movement of her stubby tail at the mention of his name. "I don't know why you're bothering to introduce yourself, though, as you're going to chase me off soon. Gang manners or whatever. But I'll tell you right now: I'm not leaving until the storm's over." Dusky lashed her stub tail again.
".. Though I don't have any right to be hostile to you, because you're a member of ThunderClan or whatever it's called. How long does this territory go on for, by the way? I want to get out of here as soon as possible, because I don't know how you are, but so far whatever the other three clans are called sound just as hospitable as how your clan member acted to me at first. Which wasn't very hospitable at all." Dusky growled. "Sorry if I keep getting angry at you. I don't mean it much. Since you're a clan cat, you probably don't know it, but it does get to you when you're told that no matter where you go, you're not welcome anywhere. I mean, I don't need to be wanted, but I'd like to be able to take like five paw steps without being attacked or chased out." Shut up, you're wasting your breath. Dusky thought, twitching her ear. "Just.. sorry. I didn't mean to rant on to you, but I just want to let you know I'm not likely going to move today. Though if me leaving is too much of a concern, just know that you won't see me after the storm goes, okay?" The tortoise shell blinked her brilliant yellow eyes. She was freezing against the snow, as she shivered, sending more wetness off of her pelt. Wherever I'm going next, it better be warm. She murmured quietly.

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=C4842D] Cat: Lionfur Wordcount: 497 Notes: Meow. <: It's cold! And noo it's okay, he's not going to make you leave
And don't you know my heart is open, oh, it's putting up the fight, and I've got this feeling, that everything's alright... The yellow tabby blinked carefully, his ear flicking as he listened to her, curious. She seemed very upset... Over one of his clanmates? His eyes closed. Dark.. Darkcry. He knew who that was. Shame on him, the poor she-cat. He could tell she was cold, the way she shook like he did. It wasn't healthy to be out in this weather, and the worst part was- she wasn't going to be safe in any other territory. Not with the sickness and leafbare. No one trusted rogues this time of year.
If she could be called that. She just seemed like a lost cat, not a threat. Hostile, but that was because of Darkcry. Probably because, like Lionfur himself, the tom was trying to protect their territory. His tail unwound and he stood up, drawing himself closer to her. It was so cold, he couldn't even feel any warmth coming from her damp pelt- it was so suppressed from the rain. He was probably in the same position himself. He licked her shoulder blade.
"Don't worry about anything right now. It's too cold to be fighting. And I don't want us to be enemies, either." He smiled, sitting down next to her. "I'm sorry my clanmate treated you like that. He's just stressed, we all are... And I don't blame you for staying put right now- in this weather I won't even be able to get back to camp until it lets up..." He answered, his tail curling around his fridged paws. "We... Don't normally act... It's leafbare, see? The prey's hiding on us, and we're running low on warriors. Everyone's sick and no one knows how to cure it. There's barely enough prey to keep the clan alive most leafbares, but now... Now we can barely get enough cats to find them." He kept his head high, but he felt sick and upset. Starclan must have had been terribly mad at them.
"Our territory goes just a bit farther, then it overlaps to the Fourtrees and the other three clans. You're practically in the middle of all of the clans. Maybe later I can help you get to the edge of our territory..." He didn't know what to tell her. "Do you know how to hunt?" The idea clicked in his head in a second. If she would... They could... But she might just be another mouth to feed, and she could get sick too... But, they NEEDED more paws around camp. His clan had let Swirlpaw join, so why not Dusky? Heck, even if she didn't know how to hunt, he could teach her! Maybe... But she'd have to want to. And maybe Dusky didn't trust them at all.

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=18377E] Count: 289 Kitty: Dusky the cold Involved: None Notes: ONLY ONE PARAGRAPH, NUU
"I can hunt a little." Dusky answered his last question. "I'm best at hunting birds, however. Everyone in my old gang could do that well. I never quite caught on to hunting ground prey though, so I'm not too great at that. I can't stalk, only chase." She admitted, twitching some rain off her fur again. It was getting annoying, the rain. She shivered quickly, fur around her neck rising a little, and then flattening back down. Dusky thought through the rest of his explination and apallogy. "I understand.. I wouldn't be too happy to share my food with random cats I didn't know either. And lack of cats is a bad problem. We had enough cats to hunt for all of us: Seven. But in the snow-fall season, if we got hungry, we could always go up to a human home's door near our barn and meow to them so we could get some food that looked like clumps of dirt.. and tasted like them too. Can't stand that stuff, most of the time I'd rather go hungry." Dusky smiled. "And thanks for letting me stay, Lionfur. Also, is it only a coincidence that Darkcry and your names sound the same, or is there a reason? No offense, but Darkcry and Lionfur are strange names for a cat." Dusky inquired, shivering again. "I swear that soon I'm going to just bury myself under snow.. it's probably warmer." Dusky sighed, repositioning herself in the white snow that was starting to ice over. It would be fun finding a place to go after this.. tons and tons of fun.

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=C4842D] Cat: Lionfur Wordcount: 439 Notes: in the snow? that's silly, snow is cold!
So lets try my way, its my day To show you what you're missing, turn around And feel the winds of change upon your face again The warm breath of your closest friend So she could hunt a little. She could hunt birds in the meanwhile, and he could teach her to stalk. It would be great. His whiskers twitched, and he felt excited. This could just work. He would be a hero in his clan if he'd gotten another strong warrior on the clan. She seemed like a nice cat too. He'd have a lot of explaining to do to her, though. She didn't know a lot about clans- she was used to 'gangs' apparently.
He purred with amusement at her question. His ears flicked back at the thought of burying herself in snow- snow was really cold, how would it be warmer? He preferred the sun, honestly. If only there was more of it... Oh, right, her question. He grinned, tilting his head. "Well, all clan cats have names like that. When we're kits, we're named things like Lionkit, or Darkkit..." He paused for a moment, hoping she would understand. It wasn't a hard concept, but then he couldn't imagine daring to go up to a twoleg. Their monsters and dogs were a good enough reason for him to stay away. "When we become 6 moons old, we become apprentices, and we get our name changed from "kit" to "paw". The last bit of our name sort of symbolizes our rank. When we're apprentices, we get a warrior mentor to train us and teach us how to hunt and fight. And when we're taught all we can be taught, we become warriors, and get a new ending to our name, like fur or cry, or tail..."
Thinking about names, about being an apprentice... about becoming a warrior, his tail fell lifelessly to the ground and he closed his eyes. Not in front of a stranger, that wouldn't be right. He was a strong warrior of Thunderclan. His past didn't matter anymore- Silktail was still alive, so it was just a bit of bad luck in his past. It was history. He opened his eyes again, smiling.
"If you know how to hunt, maybe you can stay with Thunderclan for a little while. We could use an extra set of paws, and it's a lot warmer in the warrior's den, since all the warriors sleep together." Except the ones that were sick. But... It was still warmer. Not a bit of draft got through, and it was always dry. He wished he was back in camp. "And maybe... Maybe I can teach you how to hunt mice and vole. It's really easy, every kit in Thunderclan learns. I've only caught a bird once though... Maybe you can show me how you do it."

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=18377E] Count: 429 (fairly good muse today.. it's got to be House of Wolves, I'm telling you: And this was done in a rush!) Kitty: Dusky the talkative Involved: Lionfur Notes: uh oh.. I think you've struck some kind of friendship with her.. time to buy some earplugs.
The naming system's a little strange.. Dusky thought while she heard him talk. I wonder if it's a pride issue, or if they'd have a hard time keeping track of the ranks.. Dusky stopped thinking, and listened to the next thing he was saying.
Staying with ThunderClan-- Dusky kind of wanted to say no: She hated crowds of cats. But.. it would be warm.. surely she could bare it? "Sure, I'll stay with ThunderClan for a little while." Dusky purred. "And I'd like it if you taught me about your method of hunting: I wouldn't mind sharing mine! But, I don't need a name change yet. I'm only going to be there for a little while, so I'll just stay Dusky. Oh, and if your leader has a problem with me joining for a little while, you don't have to fight for me to stay, because I'm fine going somewhere else too, though living with ThunderClan for a while wouldn't be bad at all." Dusky paused, and flicked her stumpy tail. "Even though there aren't many birds around--" Dusky shivered, fur fluffing up and then going back down. "I'll tell you that my method of catching them is a fine mix of accuracy, speed, stealthiness, and jumping. You stay quiet until you're close, and if they notice you, run and jump. You just need to catch them with one claw and they're all yours. I won't be so good at catching birds still: I grew up in a barn if you didn't notice, and I would travel about the tops of it. See, they have logs of wood at the top of a barn, and birds usually make a nest in them. They're an easy kill when they have chicks: They'll try to attack you, so they're super easy to kill. And if you don't mind being a scavenger, chicks push other chicks out of the nest, and they usually fall on the ground. So you can eat the ones that fall, since they're killed once they hit the ground. And if they didn't die, they're fully paralyzed, where even if you are the most ethical cat, it would only be best to kill them anyway." Dusky knew she had been talking a lot, and she hadn't even started talking about gang life. She'd have to find a safe place to drink, because there would be so much to say about them..

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=C4842D] Cat: Lionfur Wordcount: 613 Notes: <: ...DEPRESSIONMOMENTSORRY.
But I need to survive tonight, tonight~ Well excuse me while I get killed softly, Heart slows down and I can hardly tell you I'm okay
Lionfur listened, interested by what she was saying- but not so much interested in these 'barns' and things. Twolegs couldn't be trusted, and he wouldn't want to live anywhere near them. Even if they had nice, easy birds to catch. He didn't like hunting anyway- he liked defending his clan. He doubted a barn would support a whole clan like Thunderclan territory did.
"I'm sure my leader wouldn't mind at all. Patchstar's very nice, he let a little kittypet become an apprentice. Apparently her mother knew something of us, so little Swirl- Swirlpaw- couldn't stay away." His whiskers twitched with amusement. "I'm sure my clan won't mind. You're really nice. I don't see how any cat wouldn't want you around." He smilied, his striped pelt still shaking in the cold, but he was starting to get used to it. It was almost numbing, and he barely realized how cold it was anymore.
"Well, we stalk in Thunderclan. We have so much underbrush that our prey never see us coming until they're under our noses, most of the time. I know that other clans do it differently- Shadowclan hunts at night, I think, and Riverclan fishes. In a river. They like the water for some reason," he flicked his tail in each direction of the clans. "And finally Windclan, they live out in the open and they chase rabbits." It was nice to just talk.
His tail tipped flicked, as he stared off distantly, thoughtfully. All of the clans were so difficult. He wondered, absently, what it would be like... if all the clans knew how to hunt like every other clan. If Thunderclan knew how to chase rabbits and hunt in the dark with only shadows to help, and how to fish at the river... He wondered if the clans would be in as much trouble during Leafbare. Everyone would be able to hunt a lot more, they would be able to adjust... The clan boundaries could stay the same, sure, but there were always those moments when if he was just as fast as a Windclan cat he would have caught that squirrel...
And if he had known how to hunt a hawk- if any of his clanmates had known how to take one down... As Dusky might have. His claws unsheathed and tore at the ground as he stared off, his heart stopping for a moment. Starclan... If only, he would... His sister would still be alive. She'd have gotten kits by now, she'd be in love with some lucky cat and they'd be happy... And she'd... And he and her would have been best friends, always helping each other... and he could have been a decent litter-mate... But no, no that hawk had taken his sister from HIS life. That... that bird...
His eyes slowly re-focused and he looked at the loner and suppressed his anger and regret as much as he could. "When the storm stops, we can look for some prey. I doubt any will be out- but with any luck, I can show you how Thunderclan warriors hunt," he sheathed his claws slowly as his spoke, his throat tight and painful, burning as he forced down his sadness. It wasn't something he was ready to deal with. And not with some random she-cat, just because she was going to stay with his clan for a little while.

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=18377E] Count: 351 (muse smousedunge and pre-bed post.) Kitty: Dusky the chilled Involved: Lionfur Notes:
Kitty-pet.. must be a pet that's a cat.. Right? I'm not going to look stupid and verify. Dusky thought. "Oh, then I guess I have a good chance of getting in for a little while.. but I don't think the storm's going to loosen up.." Dusky shivered. Yeah, unless that kit was young.. you're not a kit anymore. Dusky pushed away the thought. "Can you lead me there soon?" Her skin vibrated constantly now, and stopped once she regained some more heat. "How far away is camp from here?" Depending on the answer, it may just be better to hide between some rocks. Or find an abandoned den.
So the four clans were all different in a few ways. "Hmm.. I think I'd do well in WindClan.. I'm good at chasing.." She murmured, a short shiver going through her body again. "I hate getting wet, and I'm not too much of a night cat: I've become accustomed to the day.." She said quietly, shaking some cold rain off her now slick pelt. Now it was apparent she was a little bit more skinnier than a kitty-pet: She didn't know how they would feel about that, though: They would either think she was too fat to join, and wouldn't be the same as everyone else, or they'd be a little envious she wasn't having as much of a rough leaf-bare.
Dusky stared at Lionfur's paws: He looked a little tense, and his claws were dug into the ground. Maybe there was a doubt about her joining? No, it had to be something else.. But he kind of loosened up a little, so it couldn't have been that bad.
Dusky nodded her head at the hunting comment, and her mind started wandering. She had been so hostile to Lionfur when he first came.. and he obviously meant no harm.. Dusky flexed her claws, a little angered at her behavior. And how she had snapped at Darkcry.. though she still though he kind of deserved it.

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=C4842D] Cat: Lionfur Wordcount: 204 x___X; Notes: sorry for taking so long <:
Suppose we were happy, Suppose it was true. And suppose there were cold nights, But we somehow made it through "It's... a bit a ways away. It's just under half the distance from the twoleg place," Lionfur went on in a bit of a hushed mannor. still a bit lost in the worries of his poor sister. He missed her so much... He nodded a bit sheepishly. He could take her there soon. The storm was still raging, but he had gathered his strength again. He was still a bit cold, but it couldn't be helped.
The tabby-marked tom wasn't too excited at the thought of Dusky being good at chasing. He would hate for her to join another clan when his clans really could use an extra paw... And if she was in another clan, he wasn't sure he'd like to fight her. She seemed too nice for that. He figured Darkcry wouldn't mind the fact as much- but he liked her company. And his clan DID need her. The wind switched directions abruptly, sending more hailstones towards their pelts. He shivered, standing up and stretching, leaning towards the tree for protection.
"We can go whenever you like, but we should hurry. Looks like the storm isn't going to go away any time soon."

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=18377E] Count: 205 Third lowest ic post. Kitty: Dusky the chilled Involved: Lionfur Notes: Gang life ish harsh.. that doesn't mean you can't ask =]
Dusky didn't know what a twolegplace was, she didn't want to annoy him by asking, either. Instead, she swiftly nodded. "Okay, thanks for offering to leading me, Lionfur." She said respectfully. "I think I could go now.. I'm starting to freeze up here.. I'm not accustomed to this: I usually have a roof over my head during storms whenever I choose. Doesn't mean it's always warm though." Dusky stood up, shook her fur, and then twitched her whiskers. "The sooner I can get any kind of shelter, the better.."
Dusky's mind wandered, wondering what ThunderClan was like. They weren't in a place with twolegs: Probably in the middle of the forest. Did they have barns like Dusky's camp did? An abandoned house? Maybe, maybe not.. she did see some buildings when she walked in.. did they own that? It seemed to be quiet and abandoned.. but maybe it was a place reserved for warm weather.
Dusky was curious to find out about this clan, and how they lived.. but she didn't want to talk about gang live.. the kittens would be petrified of where she was born and raised.
